A 31 year-old Decatur man, David Walfall was arrested Sunday night for possessing over forty eight pounds of marijuana found in his truck during a traffic stop.
Mr. Walfall was released Monday after posting a $27,500 bond in Charlotte County, Florida. He was charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage, resisting an officer without violence, possession of drug paraphernalia, and marijuana trafficking.
Walfall allegedly failed to stop his 2005 truck before entering the roadway while leaving a gas station. He ran from the truck and led law enforcement on a short foot chase before being taken into custody. After he exited his truck it rolled and struck a parked vehicle. A drug detecting dog led officers to a bag in the truck that contained 48.15 pounds of marijuana.
