Woman Hit by Tractor Trailer and Killed on I-285

According to the AJC, Sandy Springs Police are investigating the death of a 37 year-old woman who was hit and killed by a tractor-trailer on Interstate 285 West.

Zaka Marie Bleicher was allegedly walking in a lane of the interstate and was struck by the truck around 10PM Saturday night.

The driver of the truck stopped and called 911. Bleicher had died by the time police arrived.

The accident is under investigation and no charges have been filed against the driver of the truck at this time.
