State v. D.B
The client was charged with a second DUI in Sandy Springs Georgia. The other DUI was from another State. For whatever reason, the court and the prosecutor were unaware of the other offense. As a result, we were able to get the client a Georgia Drivers license and then enter a plea of guilty as if it was a first Georgia DUI. As a result, the client was able to keep his job, keep his drivers license, and continue on with his life. The lesson was to never assume a case is on a person's record. Always investigate a case, including prior offenses. Any incorrect assumption would have cost the client his drivers license and his freedom. As a Sandy Springs DUI Attorney, I never assume the worst, and I never assist the government in the prosecution of my clients.
