State v. TVB
September 2013
The client was charged with a 4th DUI, assault on a police officer, and was facing at least 6 months in jail in Cobb County, GA. Upon the attorney's recommendation, the client went into an in-patient treatment program and was able to show he had truly been rehabilitated. When the court date arrived, the attorney subpoenaed the client's counselor and had him come to court to testify on his behalf. This was essential to his defense because the counselor was able to present a full treatment and after-care program to the court. The judge was convinced to allow the absolute minimum sentence and the client only served 15 days in jail for a 4th DUI. In addition, he will be able to drive again within 4 months of court.
