DeKalb County Police have arrested five people after a car chase ended in southwest Atlanta.
Police had been called to the scene of a burglary in progress near Stone Mountain around noon and were told by residents what the getaway car looked like. Police later saw the car on Turner Hill Road and began chasing it. Georgia State Patrol later joined in the chase.
The getaway car flipped at the Panola Road and Hillandale Road. The suspects fled the scene on foot but were later tracked down by police. In addition to the felony burglary charges, the driver will be charged with the serious traffic offense of Fleeing and Attempting to Elude the police. All five will be charged with obstruction because they ran form the police.
