Retired NBA player Shaquille O'Neal recently talked with teenagers at Arabia Mountain High School about two very dangerous problems teens today face: drunk driving and distracted driving.
Shaq assisted representatives from the DeKalb District Attorney's office along with DeKalb County Fire and Rescue Department, and the Georgia Department of Highway Safety to talk to teens about highway safety and vehicular homicide. A victim of a DUI accident also talked about their experience and how that crash almost took his life.
Teens and their parents need to remember that at age 17, teens are charged as adults and their case for DUI, etc. will not be heard in juvenile court, but in a municipal, state, or superior court.
This can affect the rest of their young lives and should not be taken lightly. If your child has been arrested for DUI or any traffic-related offense, call the Law Offices of Richard Lawson. Don't trust your child's future to just any lawyer. Richard Lawson has over 20 years of experience defending DUI cases. His experience can work for you. Call now.
