Apparently Tuesday was the day for police chases in metro Atlanta.
A police chase Tuesday ended with the suspect crashing into a pole at the Peachtree Industrial and Jimmy Carter intersection.
Around 4:25 PM, an Atlanta man, Mark Cordle, 29, was stopped by the Doraville Police. When the officer did a check on Cordle, it was discovered that he had felony warrants from Alabama and Louisiana for larceny and fraud, respectively.
Cordle then fled the scene and was chased by three Doraville police cars for approximately 5 minutes before crashing into the pole. Cordle was injured in the accident, and traffic lights in that area were inoperable for hours.
The suspect was taken to the hospital and received treatment for his injuries. He has been charged with felony fleeing and eluding police, suspended license, and reckless driving. It is possible that more charges are to follow.
Once released from the hospital, Cordle will be booked into the Gwinnett County Jail. He will need a Gwinnett County DUI Lawyer and a Doraville DUI Lawyer.
