A Roswell police officer was injured Friday in a motorcycle crash on 575. The officer was off duty and riding his own personal motorcycle at the time. A Roswell Police spokesperson said the officer was conscious and alert on the scene but had been airlifted to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Multiple vehicles were involved in an accident around 1:30PM on Interstate 575-N in Cobb County between the Cherokee County line and Bells Ferry Road. If someone is charged in the accident they will need a Cobb County DUI Lawyer to help.
The motorcycle was going northbound and slowed due to some traffic ahead and was hit by a black Toyota Camry. After being struck by the Camry, the motorcycle hit a silver Chrysler Sebring that was in the lane next to it. A white Chevrolet 4x4 truck was also involved in the mix but police are unsure yet as how.
The accident shut down all four lanes of the interstate. The southbound and northbound lanes were reopened later in the afternoon.
