Woman Under the Influence of Drugs Crashes Into Sandy Springs Police Officer

A sure way to anger a police officer; crash into one with your car.

Tamika Shelia Woodson, 39, of Lithonia, was allegedly driving under the influence of drugs this Wednesday, when she crashed into a Sandy Springs patrol car in Fulton County. According to police reports, the impact of the crash pushed the officer's car more than 100 feet and injured the officer.

At the time of the impact, Officer Mike Stark was in the right emergency lane on the southbound side of GA 400 at Northridge Road while working a separate wreck. Around 4:00 p.m., Woodson left the roadway, crossed into the emergency lane, and struck Stark's patrol car. Both parties were treated for non-life threatening injuries at North Fulton Hospital.

Sandy Springs Police Capt. Steve Rose reports that Woodson has been charged with Failure To Maintain Lane, Too Fast For Conditions, and DUI-Drugs. Rose did not release details about the type of drugs allegedly involved.

From these facts, Woodson could also be charged with Aggravated Assault. She will need a top-notch Fulton County DUI Attorney.
